You will develop expertise gradually, handling client interviews with sensitivity, and learning drafting, trusts and tax as you progress. The role starts office-based, moving to hybrid as you train.

Trainee Wills and Estate Planner — City of London

Capital Fortune Rockhopper is an award winning protection and mortgage brokerage in the City of London. We are seeking a Trainee Wills and Estate Planner to join our team.

• Salary: £23,000 to £26,000 depending on experience
• Hours: Full time
• Location: 22 Tudor Street, London EC4Y. Office based while you train, hybrid once competent.
• Leads: Our existing client bank
• Benefits: 29 days including birthday and bank holidays. Pension. Professional and network fees paid.

The clients are already ours. Nobody has asked them yet.

Every mortgage and protection client we have advised has a house, a family and no will, or an old one that no longer says what they think it says. We have never offered them anything about it. This is a new service and you would be part of why we start.

No wills experience required.

We will teach you the drafting, the trusts and the tax. What we cannot teach is the ability to sit with someone while they talk about their own death and the people they are leaving behind, and keep the conversation calm and useful.

You study towards your qualifications with the fees paid. Your first wills are drafted under supervision and checked before a client ever sees them.

Our AI technology does the work that is not advice.

Calls recorded, transcribed, searchable. Client documents drafted by AI from the transcript and checked before they reach you. Every file examined before it goes out, not a sample.

Every recommendation is still signed off by a person, with the heavy lifting done by our AI systems.

Thirteen years.

That is how long our average member of staff has been here. We are small by choice and a top-tier writer within our national network. Administration runs every case through to completion.

What we need.

• No wills or estate planning experience required. We train you.
• A track record in a role where people trusted you with something that mattered. Any sector.
• Comfort with detail. A will that is wrong stays wrong for years, and is usually found out too late to fix.
• The discipline to follow a documented process, and the sense to see why it exists.
• The ability to hear what a client has not said out loud.

The money, plainly.

£23,000 to £26,000, depending on experience. A straight salary, with no commission, no tiers and no targets hung off it. You are learning a craft where being right matters more than being quick, and we would rather pay you to learn it properly.
