A water services provider is seeking a Trainee Water Regulations Technician to support compliance inspections. The role involves training to conduct inspections of plumbing systems, ensuring they meet regulations. This position offers a salary of £28,924, along with various benefits including learning opportunities and a bonus scheme.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Water Regulations Technician to work collaboratively as part of the Water Quality team responsible for Network Regulations.
The Trainee Water Regulations Technician has been created within the Network Regulations Team to help support people either thinking of a career change, building upon their existing skill set or for people embarking on their first job in the Water Industry. Whatever your journey, you will be supported to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a competent Water Regulations Inspector and to become part of this dynamic team.
The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations were introduced in 1999 to prevent misuse, waste, undue consumption or erroneous measurement of water. Most importantly, they are designed to prevent contamination of drinking water supplies.
You will be trained to carry out water fittings inspections at both customer properties and commercial premises to ensure that installed plumbing systems are compliant, identifying risks to water quality and identifying any issues relating to the waste, undue consumption, or misuse of our water. We would also be looking for individuals that align with our company values and who proactively engage within the plumbing community to promote the water fittings regulations and good practice.
This role will require you to travel to all areas within our supply area (including the East, Southeast and the Central areas) and therefore due to the operational nature of the role, a full UK driving license is essential.
This role will also require you to work at heights and confined spaces.
