Job summary

PTSG Water is seeking a Trainee Water Hygiene Technician for field-based work across multiple UK cities. You will receive full training, work without on-call duties, and progress through hands-on field experience with experienced engineers.

Benefits include a company vehicle with fuel card, up to 10% monthly bonus, and enhanced training. EL1/EL2 clearance is essential, along with a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Must already hold a valid EL1 or EL2 security clearance enabling work in prison sites.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Confident working in secure prison environments; strong communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a route of MoJ customer sites; build and maintain relationships to ensure water safety and compliance.
• Monitor water temperature and take samples; flush outlets; descale showers.
• Inspect/clean water storage tanks; inspect/blowdown calorifiers; install and service TMVs.
• Conduct local disinfections and use SimPRO for workload management.
