are recruiting for a full-time permanent Trainee Transport Planner for our client based in Snaith. The position is Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm, with a salary of £20K - £22K.

As a Trainee Transport Planner, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the planning team.

Planning and Routing

• Check for customs clearance on destin8 and assist customer services with booking in as needed.
• Check Samsara for drivers on time; if running late, communicate with customer services.
• Check Samsara for drivers following the correct route; if off-route, establish why and report to the transport manager if necessary.
• Check Samsara for additional breaks over regulations.
• Ensure weekly spread over of 15 hours is not exceeded; save a 15-hour spread over till Friday so drivers can get home to base.
• Be available for driver calls outside normal business hours.

Planning Administration

• Send drivers' job instructions.
• Complete job files with times, weights, temperatures; record all additional cost items to avoid misunderstandings with the accounts department.
• Send all lift and clean requests.
• Send depot lift and storage requests.
• Send steam sheets.
• Enter new job file/details onto plan sheets.
