Are you a proactive individual with a keen interest in logistics, planning, or transport operations? Looking for a structured career path in a fast-paced, essential industry? This Trainee Transport Planner role could be the perfect fit!

A well-established and growing transport provider in the Moira area, is seeking a motivated individual to join their planning team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering full training, long-term development, and the opportunity to build a career in transport and logistics.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across the UK and Ireland. From assisting with route planning and schedule coordination to liaising with drivers and customers, you'll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of transport planning.

The Role:

  • Support the creation of delivery schedules and driver routes
  • Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Monitor transport systems and respond to delays or issues
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation and internal procedures
  • Accurately update records and systems with key planning information
  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (no evenings or weekends)

The Person:

  • Have previous experience in administration, coordination, or customer service
  • Be highly organised and able to think on their feet
  • Work well under pressure and enjoy problem-solving
  • Be IT literate and confident using systems and spreadsheets
  • Have an interest in developing a long-term career in transport or logistics
