Job Title: Trainee Transport Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Transport Operator to join our successful Transport department based in Doncaster Depot. As a Trainee Transport Operator, you will receive training to support our Transport Operators / Planners with daily operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Book containers in and out of the yard, maintaining politeness and courtesy towards customers, colleagues, and drivers
  • Enter release/acceptance information accurately and promptly into the system
  • Audit release/acceptance records for accuracy
  • Record container numbers correctly in and out of the system
  • Utilize CCTV when booking in/out for recording purposes
  • Proactively seek additional work from current customers and management
  • Communicate effectively with customers, understanding requirements and providing accurate information
  • Work effectively within a team, communicating requirements clearly
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environment
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, reporting observations and concerns
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Transport or a similar environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Personable and team-oriented
