Job Description:

Trainee Traffic Management Operatives – Bideford, North Devon

Our clients require Trainee Traffic Management Operatives to carry out tasks such as setting up temporary traffic lights, and manning road closures ensuring all schemes run smoothly and efficiently during each working day.

Due to the nature of the industry, each role would require certain flexibility, and one must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as needed.

Successful candidates for the role of TM Operative should have

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to carry out work to a high standard
  • Willingness and flexibility to undertake some shifts out of normal working hours
  • Willingness to carry out other tasks upon request
  • Ability to always maintain Health and Safety standards
  • A can-do and responsible attitude to work.
  • Have a full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points (desirable)

Applicants must

  • Hold a minimum 12D TTMBC, T1/T2 or above
  • Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test when required

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday, days or nights with some weekend and bank holidays when required

Rate of Pay:

Up to £147 per shift to start with increased payments for weekend and bank holiday work

These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from:

  • Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
  • Weekly Pay
  • No umbrella payments or fees
  • Only tax and national insurance deductions will be shown on your payslip.
