Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer (On-site in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working with technical experts to make a significant impact. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will join a team of Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

What you’ll do:

Work alongside experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Lights, and associated electrical equipment around Oxfordshire.

Training is practical, on-the-job learning, aiming for NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are:

Interested in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work through courses or experience, such as outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, or telecommunications equipment.

Key Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn both on the job and online
• Experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation, or relevant qualifications
• Problem-solving skills and creativity in troubleshooting
• Full UK Driving Licence and residency in Oxfordshire
• Willing to undergo Drugs & Alcohol testing
