Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer (On-site in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts. Be part of a high-performing team responsible for critical infrastructure that connects and protects the nation 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you'll join a team of Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

What you’ll do:

Work closely with experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire. Training combines on-the-job learning with opportunities to earn an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are:

Interested in electrical troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work through courses or experience. You should have an interest in outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection, telecommunications, or radio equipment.

Key Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn through on-the-job and online training
• Experience or qualification in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Full UK Driving Licence and residing in Oxfordshire
• Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
