Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts committed to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining critical infrastructure connectivity and security 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will work with Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

What you’ll do:

As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.

Training involves on-the-job learning, aiming for an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are:

You have an interest in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and testing, with some exposure to outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, or telecommunications, or have completed relevant coursework or diplomas.

Key Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn through work and online courses
• Experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation, or relevant qualifications
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work through fault-finding instructions
• Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
• Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
