Reporting into the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a talented team of Traffic Signals specialists in the Kent region. Due to growth and demand from our customer(s), we are in a position to grow our Traffic team in this region.
What you’ll do:
As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with one of our experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test a range of Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and electrical equipment that is associated with this, in and around the Kent region.
Training isn’t in a classroom; it is a healthy mix of ‘on the job’ learning, providing you with an opportunity to work towards an NVQ in Electrical Installations and Sector based certifications such as ECS and the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) Chapter 8.
Who you are:
You will naturally have an interest in troubleshooting, fixing, testing, and maintaining Electrical equipment, and already have some exposure to anything electrical – whether that’s working with outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications / radio equipment, etc., or you’ve had some experience via a College related course / Diploma.
