Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer - Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working with technical experts who are proud of their impact. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, connected and protected 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a team of Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

What you’ll do:

Work closely with experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.

Training includes 'on the job' learning, aiming for an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are:

Interested in electrical troubleshooting, fixing, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work through courses or experience.

Key Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn both on-site and online
• Experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or related qualifications
• Problem-solving skills and ability to follow fault-finding instructions
• Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
• Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing
