Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer based in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts dedicated to making a difference. Be part of a high-performing team involved in complex and critical work that helps connect and protect the nation's infrastructure 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a team of Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test Traffic Signals and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.
• Participate in on-the-job training aimed at achieving an NVQ in Electrical Installations and sector-based certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Candidate Profile:

• Interest in electrical troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work, college courses, or diplomas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn through practical experience and online training.
• Experience with electrical testing, maintenance, or installation, or relevant electrical qualifications.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively, following fault-finding instructions.
• Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire.
• Willingness to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance.
