Job Description: Trainee Traffic Installation Technician, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Overview:

Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals/Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This field-based role requires a full UK driving license, willingness to travel across the region, and comfort working in all weather conditions.

Who We Are:

At Telent, you'll work with a team of traffic signal specialists, contributing to critical infrastructure. We offer structured training, including NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations, and certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced Traffic Engineers in installing, maintaining, and testing Traffic Signals and Lighting units.
  • Participate in on-the-job, desk-based, and online training to achieve relevant qualifications.

Candidate Profile:

  • Interest in field-based engineering and electrical installations.
  • Experience with electrical equipment or relevant coursework is desirable but not essential.
  • Motivated to learn and develop new skills.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Good communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing.
