Trainee TIG Welder


Wetherby, £12.80 - £15.00 DOE, 4 day week



Due to a full order book, this growing company in the Wetherby area seek a trainee TIG Welder. We are keen to hear from candidates seeking an apprenticeship, or newly qualified welders looking for their first role or a new opportunity.


You will be required to produce a range of standard and bespoke products in thin gauge sheet metal to a high-quality standard. The work is both challenging and interesting.



The TIG Welding role:



  • Read and work to engineering drawings to produce high quality welded basic and complex assemblies

  • Work in a small team

  • Produce fine and detailed welds on small and medium parts

  • Produce parts in stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel to tolerances of 0.2mm

  • Work in other areas of the business when necessary

  • Set up and operate a robot-welding arm.



The person:



  • Confident TIG welding skills or a genuine interest in learning

  • Able to produce precision high quality welds

  • Ability to read technical drawings

  • Demonstrate excellent dexterity able to do intricate work

  • Able to work independently

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Be hard working and conscientious

  • Be self-motivated
