Are you a hardworking, driven individual looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Stroke AHP Team, assisting in delivering Stroke specialist therapy services across the Stroke pathway at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will support Registered Therapists in assessing and treating patients with stroke diagnoses. An Assistant Practitioner undertakes highly skilled support work, including gathering assessment information, implementing treatment programs, and recommending equipment and minor adaptations.
The Assistant Practitioner will use technical and creative skills to deliver therapeutic activities and will be responsible for evaluating and modifying treatment plans under guidance from a Registered AHP. You will take responsibility for your own work within a broad framework provided by a Registered AHP.
You will deliver defined therapy inputs independently, with immediate access to a Registered AHP for advice and guidance.
The work will be based at the Acute Stroke Unit at Royal Preston Hospital and the Stroke Rehabilitation Ward at Chorley Hospital. The service currently operates 6 days a week, with plans to extend to 7 days.
