Job summary

National Windscreens in Torquay invites energetic individuals to join its Trainee Technician program. You will receive high-standard training from qualified technicians and work toward a nationally recognised NVQ in Automotive Glazing to Level 2 and 3.

After 10 weeks of training you can work independently, travel to customer locations with a driving licence, repair and replace windscreens, and provide excellent service while developing skills and career growth.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; motivation to learn and grow.
• Must have a driving licence for travel to customer locations.
• Willingness to undertake NVQ automotive glazing training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Windscreen repair and replacement under supervision.
• Complete NVQ training to Level 2/3.
• Travel to customer sites within designated area.

What you’ll be doing...

You will be a part of our Trainee Program which means:

• You will receive high standard quality training delivered by experienced and qualified trainers and technicians.
• We will work with you to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in Automotive Glazing to NVQ level 2 and 3.
• After 10 weeks of training including classroom based learning and real experience with other qualified Technicians, you will be able to work independently.
• You will receive on-going support and assistance ensuring you remain up to date with techniques and processes.
• If selected you will also receive training on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration, hybrid and electric vehicles.
• You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and your customers.

Once trained your job will be to repair and replace windscreens and body glass, and to provide our customers with excellent service.
