Trainee Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Clubmoor, Liverpool, L13)

Are you looking to take your first step into the education sector?

A welcoming primary school in Clubmoor (L13), Liverpool, is looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistant to join their team from June to December 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children in their learning and development, especially those interested in Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We are particularly interested in hearing from:

  1. Graduates in subjects linked to education, child development, psychology, or special needs
  2. Youth workers with experience supporting young people in structured settings
  3. Sports coaches with experience in mentoring or delivering physical education sessions
  4. Individuals with volunteering or informal experience working with children or young people

No formal school experience is required – just a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for making a difference in children’s lives.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
  2. Working with pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis
  3. Helping children with SEN access the curriculum
  4. Supporting classroom management and routines

To apply, you must be available full-time from June through to December 2025. Full training and ongoing support provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
