Trainee Teacher – Secondary Schools in Sunderland (QTS/TRN Required)

Are you a Trainee Teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher (ECT) ready to build experience in the classroom while making a real difference in students’ lives? Milk Education is looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work as Subject Specialist Teachers or General Cover Teachers across Secondary Schools in Sunderland, providing support and cover across a range of subjects and year groups.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly, gain hands-on experience, and build confidence as you begin your teaching career.

About the Role

As a Secondary Teacher, you’ll step into classrooms in a Subject Specialist Teacher or General Cover Teacher capacity, planning sessions and activities, delivering pre-set lessons, supporting learning, and managing behaviour. You’ll also work one-to-one or with small groups, contributing to the academic and personal development of students.

This role is ideal for:

Trainee Teachers awaiting QTS confirmation (with TRN already assigned)

Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs/ECTs) seeking classroom experience before starting a permanent position

Anyone eager to explore different schools before beginning their ECT induction
