Hillcroft Primary School, part of GLF Teacher Training, is seeking a Trainee Teacher to work with 3-7 and 5-11 age ranges on the fee-funded training route. Based in Caterham, Surrey, you will join GLF’s Surrey Teacher Training Hub and undertake school-based training with support from experienced mentors.

You will gain hands-on experience across primary settings, including a main placement at Hillcroft, with the possibility of a future ECT position within GLF’s network.

Qualifications

• A degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or recognised equivalent.
• A Degree 2:2 or above (may accept a 3rd class or ordinary degree in particular circumstances)
• Grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, and Science for Primary routes only
• Demonstrate you hold the right to work and study in the UK and have been a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years.
• For employment-based training routes, classroom teaching experience will be required, as you will be teaching from day one of the course, and you will need a school to offer an employment contract.
• If you have overseas qualifications but the right to work in the UK, we will need a statement of comparability for your qualifications.

Responsabilités

• All trainees have a main placement and a shorter 4–6-week placement at school.
• You will train to teach across the 3–7 and 5–11 age ranges and gain school-based experience from day one.
• GLF offers personalised, locally delivered training with mentoring and support across Surrey.
