The School-Centred Initial Teacher Training in Barton under Needwood is part of a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). The School-Centred Initial Teacher Training offers exceptional support throughout your training year. You\'ll train in two different schools, guided by mentors who meet with you weekly. You\'ll gain experience in a special school or alternative provision and work with different age groups to broaden your experience.
Weekly training sessions at the Training Centre are led by subject and phase specialists and experienced local school representatives. Secondary trainees benefit from subject-specific training with expert practitioners, while primary trainees receive a diverse programme delivered by specialists from local schools.
Collaboration with partner schools is central to the programme, ensuring trainees receive high-quality, relevant training that prepares them for success. Partners are invested in your development to recruit the best-trained educators for their schools.
The Trust welcomes trainees from all backgrounds, whether you\'re finishing a degree, completing a Masters, or making a career change.
