The role

As a Trainee Survival Equipment Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. An interesting, dynamic and rewarding role utilising specialist skill learnt through onsite training and development whilst operating within a small team, albeit being part of a much bigger international organisation.

Day-to-day, over the programme, you'll learn to perform maintenance inspections, component changes, and repairs on various items of survival equipment. You'll also gain practical knowledge and develop your understanding of airworthiness and air safety protocols:

  • Additionally, you'll master the administrative tasks associated with maintenance activities and enhance your communication skills, confidence, and ability to collaborate with a team.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Leuchars. However, the company may, on occasion, ask you to deploy temporarily to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations.

Essential experience of the Trainee Survival Equipment Technician:

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
