In business for over 85 years, Richardson & Starling is the largest building preservation contractor in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK. For three years running, we have been the Property Care Association contractor of the year, and we are proud of the excellent reputation our company has with both our customers and our staff.
With a network of 16 branches across Scotland and the North of England, we offer a comprehensive range of property preservation and repair services to property owners, building professionals, local businesses, and local authorities.
We are now looking to employ a Trainee Surveyor to become part of our team.
Full Time/Permanent – Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 17:00pm & Friday, 08:00am to 16:00pm.
Salary/Hourly Rate: Competitive
Assist with surveys in commercial, domestic, and social housing properties.
Assist in preparing comprehensive reports, specifications, drawings, and accurate estimates.
Develop new and retain existing clients.
Working alongside the surveying and contracts team, you will be required to assist with other relevant duties.
Previous construction experience preferred.
Willingness to learn, take instruction, and learn on the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Good level of IT knowledge and willingness to become familiar with Word, Excel, and our in-house drawing package.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Full UK Driving Licence.
