An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Mental Health professional to join their transformative initiative as a Trainee Supervising Practitioner. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children and young people's mental health through early intervention and evidence-based practices. You'll be part of a dynamic team that values creativity and collaboration, with opportunities for continuous learning and development. With a competitive salary and the chance to advance your career through further training, this position is perfect for those eager to empower young individuals and families in their journey towards mental well-being.
Are you a dedicated Mental Health professional working with children and young people (CYP) and eager to make a lasting impact? If you are passionate about empowering CYP to reach their full potential, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a transformative initiative in mental health services as a Trainee Supervising Practitioner.
Join the new Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) and help revolutionise early intervention. Our MHSTs ensure CYP receive the right help at the right time in the right place. We are committed to a child and family centred approach, focusing on seamless care, minimising duplication, and eliminating the frustration of being bounced between services. Our goal is to provide the right support without delays or confusion.
Are you ready to grow and develop your skills in CBT-informed supervision? If so, you may be exactly who we're looking for. We value creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning in our team.
Why join us? We are proud to be part of the Birmingham MHST initiative, based in West/North Birmingham (Handsworth, Lozells, Aston, Ladywood, Erdington). With a strong track record in early intervention, Compass uses dynamic and inclusive approaches, including digital tools and community engagement. We evolve our services through stakeholder collaboration, delivering real change where it's needed most.
This is your chance to help shape the future of CYP mental health in Birmingham. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. We are looking for a dynamic Mental Health professional with at least one year of post-qualification experience in a children and young people (CYP) mental health setting. As a Trainee Supervising Practitioner, you'll have the exciting opportunity to deliver training, evidence-based interventions, and consultations that make a real difference for children, young people, families, and educational staff.
In this role, you'll be supported in honing your skills in CBT-informed supervision, empowering you to grow and excel. Once you achieve the essential competencies defined by Health Education England (HEE), you'll embark on a PG Certificate in Clinical Supervision that will elevate your career.
And here's the best part: upon acceptance into the training program, you'll advance to Band F, with a competitive salary range of £37,092 - £45,347. Plus, you'll have the chance to engage in further training as required by the service, ensuring you're always at the forefront of the field.
