Job Description:

Purpose: Deichmann Shoes has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Trainee Store Manager, supporting our store in Birmingham and surrounding areas including Solihull, West Bromwich, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £29,500 per annum.

As a Trainee Store Manager, you will undergo initial training to understand store operations, after which you will provide managerial cover across a cluster of stores within a defined geographical area. The role requires flexibility to work across the week and travel between stores.

Upon successful training, you will be positioned for promotion to Store Manager.

Key Activities:

  • Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Lead by example in promoting and upselling products
  • Draft rotas in line with payroll budgets
  • Manage stock effectively
  • Analyze sales figures and reports
  • Ensure compliance with company standards (merchandising, administration)
  • Work towards targets and meet KPIs
  • Assist with recruitment and team development
