Purpose

Here at Deichmann, we are looking to appoint a Trainee Store Manager.

You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return will receive an initial salary of £29,500 per annum.

Initially based in a store on the district, following training you will support and hold stores either on a planned or ad hoc basis across the surrounding area including Glasgow Argyle, Glasgow Fort, Braehead, East Kilbride, Clydebank, and Coatbridge. This is a really exciting opportunity for a successful and ambitious Team Member or Supervisor, looking to progress their career into Store Management.

You will undergo first-class training and development, including holding stores on a planned and ad hoc basis with a view to potentially becoming a Cover Manager at the end of your training, and then potentially advancing to Store Manager of your own store.

You must be fully flexible in terms of travel, as you will be working in a number of different stores, and you should have previous experience working in retail or a related sector.

You must be able to problem-solve and think on your feet. Additionally, you should be a people person, capable of planning and coordinating resources, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

Key activities:
  1. Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service
  2. Lead by example in promoting and recommending shoe care products, demonstrating confidence with selling and excellent product knowledge, ensuring the best level of customer service
  3. Resourcing / drafting rotas within budget
  4. Stock management
  5. Analyzing and interpreting sales performance data and reports
  6. Making recommendations to improve sales performance based on data and customer insights
  7. Ensure all company standards are implemented and maintained, including merchandising and admin
  8. Support the delivery of KPIs, meeting all company standards
  9. Assist in recruitment and training of the team
