Deichmann Shoes have an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Trainee Store Manager, supporting our store in Birmingham and other stores in the surrounding area.

For this role, the stores you will cover & support include Birmingham, Solihull, West Bromwich, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and additional stores within a reasonable commuting distance.

As a Trainee Store Manager for Deichmann, you will be offered a competitive salary of £29,500 per annum.

This is a full-time, permanent position, and you must be fully flexible to work across the week.

Our Trainee Store Managers are our fast-track, high-potential managerial talent!

After initial training, Trainee Managers will understand store operations by providing managerial support across multiple stores. You must be able to travel within a defined geographical area.

Upon completing training, Trainee Managers are well-positioned for promotion to Store Manager.

Our ideal Trainee Managers will have previous supervisory or management experience in retail or a similar setting and are eager to advance their careers in store management.

Key activities include:

• Motivating and coaching the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Leading by example in promoting and upselling products.
• Drafting rotas aligned with payroll budgets.
• Analyzing sales figures and reports.
• Implementing and maintaining company standards, including merchandising and administration.
• Working towards targets and achieving KPIs.
• Assisting with recruitment and team development.

Personal characteristics:

• A hands-on leader with retail or related industry experience.
• A positive, flexible approach with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence to motivate, coach, and inspire the team.
• Methodical and organized with a structured work approach.
