Job Overview

Are you interested in Air & Emissions? We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee to join our UKAS accredited Air & Emissions team. As a Trainee Stack Emissions Monitoring Technician, you'll support our experts with testing and monitoring building foundations across various projects. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a specialized area, advance your career, and gain hands-on experience through exciting projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring emissions according to documented procedures, standards, and industry best practices
• Preparing detailed technical reports for clients
• Adhering to SOCOTEC’s Health & Safety Policies and site rules
• Performing equipment maintenance, calibration, and kit preparation, alongside laboratory duties and report writing

Candidate Requirements

• A degree or equivalent in environmental or scientific disciplines
• Interest in developing a career in stack emissions monitoring, including manual sampling and instrumental analysis techniques
• Willingness to work outdoors and at heights at various industrial sites, which can be physically and mentally demanding
• Availability to work away from home during some weekdays
• A full driving license and a positive, flexible attitude

About Air & Emissions

Our UKAS accredited team conducts industrial emissions testing across the UK in diverse environments, including incinerators, refineries, and underground sites. Projects are varied, providing unique experiences in different industries and settings.
