For those just starting out, we offer a structured competency training plan designed to help you progress to Band 6 within 6–12 months, depending on your experience and performance. If you're already experienced, you'll be able to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact as Band 6 specialist.
We are unique in that the Diabetes Dietitians within the adult and paediatric services are one united team meaning that evidence and practice can be aligned and robust. There is an excellent opportunity for CPD as the job is diverse with many opportunities for learning.
The Trainee Specialist Diabetes Dietitian – Adult and Paediatric role is for those who want to contribute to collaborative care planning and decision-making as part of the MDT.
