We are looking to invest in a naturally self-motivated individual with an energy and passion for this area of law and who wants to grow, develop, and be mentored into our established team.

The ideal candidate will be attentive and have a good eye for detail, be a good communicator, at ease with building relationships (both internally and externally) and possess a natural interest and curiosity in matters relating to Corporate transactional work.

This is a two-year training contract focused on this discipline with a view to qualifying with the team as a Corporate Solicitor, equipped with the legal knowledge and skills to be a valuable member and contributor of the team.

As a trainee you will support and work closely with all team members with all aspects of the various types of Corporate legal work carried out within the department across the offices.

Our highly rated Corporate Team provides a full-service offering and includes transactional work across M&A, Corporate Finance and Private Equity. The team do a range of work for clients, predominantly quality SMEs and regional businesses, across a range of Commercial sectors.

We encourage client contact for our junior team members, and you will be encouraged to take responsibility for aspects of work whilst all the time ensuring you have adequate supervision and support.

Applicants interested in this exciting opportunity will have achieved a high standard of academic success in their degree (and where relevant, conversion course) and have passed or be within their final year of the LPC prior to the commencement of the training contract. We will consider candidates with extensive work experience and are qualifying through the SQE route.

Previous Corporate or Commercial work experience is not essential however experience or working in a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous.
