Comhairle nan Eilean Siar recherche un stagiaire travailleur social pour un poste à temps plein dans les services aux enfants et familles pendant une période fixe de deux ans. Trainee Social Worker (Children & Families), Uist & Barra
37 hours per week, fixed term of two years
£27,090 per annum, inclusive of £2,859 per annum Distant Islands Allowance

As a Trainee Social Worker, you will be a member of the Children & Families team which undertakes an integrated range of social work services in relation to child welfare promotion and support for children and their families: arranges and supports care placements for children who require to live away from home, preventative work and joint work with other agencies.

This post will provide Trainee Social Worker experience and training within the Education and Children’s Services Department.

Understanding the various needs of children and young people is essential as is previous experience of working with Children and Young People. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of service users, their families, colleagues and other agencies. Both Team working and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.

It is essential that you have a relevant degree to qualify for entry to the post graduate Social Work Pathway.

A full, unrestricted driving licence is required.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.

This post is for a fixed term period of 2 years. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
