Job description

Job Title: Trainee Smart Meter Engineer

Location: PO, SO, RG

Salary: £35,094

Hours: 40 hours per week

Are you a qualified Gas Engineer looking to upskill into Electric and become a Dual Fuel Engineer? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our award-winning Field Services team.

Your starting salary will be £35,094, which will increase to £38,993 once your training and assessments are complete.

What does this role involve?

You will benefit from our fully funded training and upskilling course in one of our accredited training facilities, where you will obtain your Level 2 Diploma in Smart Metering - Power, and receive EUSR accreditation.

Following an 8-week training programme, your day-to-day will include:

  1. installing domestic gas and electric meters in line with industry and company rules and regulations.
  2. testing meters and equipment after installation to ensure they meet industry standards.
  3. picking up and dropping off used and new meters at designated warehouses.

Who are we looking for?

You need to hold current CCN1 and/or CMA1 or equivalent qualifications, with at least 6 months remaining on these.

At least 6 months experience as a gas engineer.

A full UK driving licence is required as you will receive a company vehicle.
