Job summary

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is recruiting a Trainee Site Manager for projects between Milton Keynes and Stevenage. You will learn under an experienced Site Manager, with structured training and increasing responsibility as you progress.

We offer a pathway into site management with practical training, plus a focus on safety, quality, and timely handover of projects across education, healthcare, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Graduates or tradespeople with willingness to learn and a construction-related qualification.
• Good practical approach, interest in construction, and willingness to travel.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with the daily running of the project.
• Help coordinate subcontractors, labour, deliveries and materials.
• Assist with inductions, toolbox talks and safety and quality checks as training progresses.
• Learn to check work against drawings, specifications and programme.
• Maintain site records, progress reports and health and safety paperwork.
• Assist with snagging, handover and completion.

Join an established, family-owned main contractor as a Trainee Site Manager, working on projects between Milton Keynes and Stevenage. You’ll learn alongside an experienced Site Manager, with practical training and increasing responsibility—not be expected to run a site on your own.

With more than 100 years in construction, the business delivers new-build and refurbishment projects across education, healthcare, commercial, housing, heritage, and science and research for public and private sector clients. It offers varied project experience and a supported route into site management.

The role
