Motus Commercials is inviting applications for a Trainee Service & Maintenance Technician programme at Carlisle, Dumfries or Penrith. The two-year training path develops diagnostic, servicing and workshop skills under experienced Technicians.

You will gain hands-on experience, attend DAF Trucks training, and aim for IRTEC certification while building a long-term career in the commercial vehicle sector.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and eager to learn in a structured two-year programme.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

As aTrainee Service & Maintenance Technicianat ourCarlisle, Dumfries or Penrithdealership, you'll complete a structured two-year training programme designed to develop your skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced, fully qualified Technicians.

During your training, you will:

• Learn how to diagnose vehicle faults, developing the skills and confidence to carry out diagnostics independently.
• Assist with and progressively carry out routine servicing and maintenance inspections to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Work towards becoming fully competent in carrying out full vehicle inspections and achieving the nationally recognisedIRTECqualification.
• Attend manufacturer training courses delivered byDAF Trucks, alongside practical, hands-on workshop experience.
• Develop an understanding of safe working practices and workshop procedures.
• Build the technical skills required to service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
