Motus Commercials is recruiting for a Trainee Service & Maintenance Technician to join a two-year structured training programme at our Carlisle, Dumfries or Penrith sites. The role offers 40 hours per week with a clear pathway to professional qualifications and a nationally recognised IRTEC qualification.

You will train under experienced Technicians, attend DAF Trucks training, and advance to diagnosing faults, servicing, inspections and safe workshop practices within a supportive mentorship

Hours: 40 Hours per week

Salary: £10.85 - £15.50 per hour

What will you be doing?

As aTrainee Service & Maintenance Technician at ourCarlisle, Dumfries or Penrith dealership, you'll complete a structured two-year training programme designed to develop your skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced, fully qualified Technicians.

During your training, you will:

• Learn how to diagnose vehicle faults, developing the skills and confidence to carry out diagnostics independently.

• Assist with and progressively carry out routine servicing and maintenance inspections to manufacturer and industry standards.

• Work towards becoming fully competent in carrying out full vehicle inspections and achieving the nationally recognisedIRTEC qualification.
