After a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to develop your skills. We will assist you in establishing your identity as an educator and help you choose your specialist area, from EYFS, KS1, KS2 to secondary school and SEND provisions.
About the school
Before starting your placement, you will complete a comprehensive training program delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, equipping you with essential skills to work as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
SEND Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of schools. Effective Teaching Assistants possess excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting children's daily needs. They build relationships with staff, children, and families.
The role varies by school. You may support class teaching, run small group interventions, or work 1:1 to meet each child's needs and enable them to thrive.
