The Role

We now have a unique opportunity for a Trainee Seed Sales Specialist to join our existing team at Grainseed based in Eye, Suffolk. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in agricultural sales.

The main purpose of the role is to promote and sell Grainseed products—including seed, fertiliser, and silage sheets/additives—directly to merchants and farmers. You will build relationships with new customers and support existing ones through on-site visits, sales, product training, and presentations. You will also promote the company's marketing and PR activities, including trade shows, advertising, and customer hospitality. Staying informed about industry trends will help you identify new products and assess their commercial potential.

The Person

We seek someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-lasting customer relationships. Strong IT skills are essential for efficient record-keeping and order management. No prior experience is necessary, as full training and support will be provided. An agricultural background or interest is beneficial.

This role is initially office-based, but UK travel to clients and offices will be required, so a valid UK driving licence is necessary.
