Job summary

Precision People is assisting a well-established client in Shropshire to recruit a Trainee Saw Line Machinist. Based in Bishops Castle (SY9), you will operate an industrial machine on day shifts up to 12 hours, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

You should have some industrial machinery or manufacturing experience, be reliable, and be a team player. Training will be provided where required; you will monitor production, adjust cutting patterns, and maintain housekeeping and routine

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial production environments with plant machinery.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Hands-on, reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
• Willingness to commit to 12-hour day shifts.
• Ability to work well in a team and report issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial machine under supervision.
• Monitor production numbers and make live changes to cutting patterns.
• Change tooling and related equipment when required.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow greasing/oiling schedules.
• Communicate with production manager and engineering team as needed.
