Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a driven individual to join as a Trainee Sales Executive, managing and developing the client base across the West Midlands. The role includes a comprehensive 6–10 week training scheme and a clear career plan in a competitive sales environment.

The successful candidate will focus on solution-based sales of material handling equipment, meet targets, and work towards a long-term sales career with ongoing training, development, and salary reviews.

Qualifications

• No fixed background required; sales, hire/rental or financial background welcomed.
• Strong numerical skills preferred for pricing and quotes.
• UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Attend the 6-10 week training scheme.
• Sell material handling equipment across the West Midlands area.
• Visit customer sites to discuss forklift requirements, provide quotes and conduct site surveys.
• Meet and exceed sales targets.
• Adopt a strategic approach to winning new business.
