The Role

Our Safety and Security engineering team is central to our business. Our engineers are multi-skilled across various technologies and product ranges, with extensive knowledge built over many years. Customer service orientation and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering are key traits. Our engineers take pride in their work.

This role reports to the Lead Supervisor Engineer and includes mentored training and development, with opportunities for future progression and succession planning.

We are seeking someone with previous hands-on skills who is looking for a new role.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with installation, commissioning, and servicing of equipment including fire and intruder alarm systems, CCTV, access control, audio-visual systems, and public address & voice alarm systems.
  • Assist with retrofit upgrades and extensions to existing systems as part of remedial works.
  • Provide high levels of customer service.
  • Develop understanding of site plans to facilitate installations based on survey documentation.
  • Complete documentation according to company standards.
  • Work within strict health & safety guidelines.
  • Build knowledge to advise customers on products and services to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Certifications/Qualifications

  • Valid CSCS/ECS Card (desired but not essential)
  • DBS clearance (for public sector environments)
  • IPAF/PASMA/Asbestos Awareness certification (desirable)
  • Recent electrical qualifications (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence

Experience

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Over 18 for security clearance
  • Enthusiasm for learning and problem solving
  • Self-motivated
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Willing to work away from home
  • Driving licence held for at least 12 months (beneficial)
