About Wessex Internet

We are a fast-growing, innovative Internet provider, delivering full-fibre broadband across rural areas in the Southwest, including Dorset, Somerset, New Forest, and now expanding into Wiltshire. We design, build, and operate our own network to ensure high standards.

Last year, we connected our 10,000th customer, reflecting our commitment to excellent service and positive reviews.

We value teamwork and personal growth, offering opportunities to make an impact and develop professionally. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team.

Reporting to experienced team leaders, your initial role will support the operation of mole plough and drilling machinery.

No prior civils construction experience or qualifications are necessary; full training and support will be provided. We aim to develop you into an excellent Civils Operative.

You will undergo structured induction and training, with opportunities for career progression within our expanding Civils Department.

  • Assist in training new team members

Applicants will require

  • A full UK driving license
  • Ability to work outdoors in various environments
  • Enjoy active outdoor work
  • Teamwork skills
  • Experience in agriculture, excavation, or cable/pipe work is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided

Advantages (not essential)
  • B&E trailer license
  • CSCS card
  • Street Works / Cable Avoidance qualification

Candidates will be invited for a Trial Day with the Civils team to experience the role firsthand and will be paid for this day.
