Are you interested in an opportunity to train while working towards a career in pharmacy?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team. Applications are invited from individuals with an interest in healthcare to join the pharmacy team in Perth Royal Infirmary as a Trainee Rotational Pharmacy Support Worker. Hospital or pharmacy experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
The role includes dispensing, picking and issuing medicines, checking stock and ward medicines management processes including supporting a ward top up service and the assessment, processing and appropriate reuse of medicines returns, however, processing and appropriate reuse of medicines returns will be a key component of this role.
* On successful completion of the training framework the candidate will transfer to a Rotational Pharmacy Support Worker post (Band 3).

The training framework is expected to take 15 months to complete although this will vary depending on individual candidate progress rates.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
Hours of work are 22.2 hours per week (over 7 days). Participation in extended hours, public holidays and weekend working rotas is required.
