Royal London Asset Management is continuing its exciting journey of growth and transformation. We have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual to join our Outsourced Operations team as a Trainee Relationship Manager.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where your development is a priority. You'll receive hands-on experience and dedicated mentoring from an experienced professional while contributing to the successful running of RLAM's Operations and wider business.

The Outsourced Operations team provides relationship management and governance for services supplied by HSBC, SS&C, BRS, Apex, Swift, and Royal London Group Intragroup services. It also supports the relationship management of the Irish Funds Third Party Management Company, FundRock, and related outsourcers like State Street.

About the role
  1. Ensure effective monitoring, control, and provision of outsourced relationships.
  2. Support governance and oversight of third-party services in line with industry best practices, Group Policies, team procedures, and key controls.
  3. Verify the accuracy of monthly invoices against budgets.
  4. Maintain action logs and liaise with third parties and Royal London colleagues to track progress.
  5. Complete due diligence questionnaires and KPI reporting timely.
  6. Create and maintain documented standards and procedures for managing outsourced relationships.
  7. Develop, maintain, and review risk reporting.

  • Interest in the asset management industry.
  • Understanding of Royal London Asset Management's products, services, and strategy - www.rlam.com
  • Knowledge of relationship management and procurement practices.
  • Committed to completing the Investment Operations Certificate within 18 months, funded by RLAM.
  • Strong numerical skills.
