Job summary

You will learn to maintain, inspect, troubleshoot and support industrial refrigeration equipment alongside experienced engineers, with progression as your skills grow.

Qualifications

• No previous refrigeration experience required; keen to learn in a hands-on role.
• Interest in engineering, mechanics or understanding how equipment works.
• Experience in workshop, maintenance or similar environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with planned preventative maintenance of refrigeration systems.
• Support maintenance of blast freezers, cooling equipment and related systems.
• Learn to identify faults, diagnose problems and assist with repairs.
• Carry out routine checks and inspections to keep equipment safe and efficient.
• Develop understanding of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration components.
• Learn safe working practices within a food production environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and checks.
• Support the engineering team with general maintenance duties as required.
