Job summary

Optio Resourcing is hiring a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our Retail Construction Desk in Wakefield. No recruitment experience is required; you’ll receive full training and work on live retail construction roles from day one.

You’ll learn the full recruitment process, source and screen candidates, build relationships with clients, manage your own desk with support from experienced consultants, and work toward billing by meeting activity targets.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and phone manner.
• Self-motivated with a drive to hit targets.
• Strong organisational skills and workload management.
• No prior recruitment experience required; full training provided.
• Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus.

Trainee Recruitment Consultant — Retail Construction Desk

The role

Optio Resourcing is looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our team and train on our retail construction desk. No prior recruitment experience is needed. We'll give you full training, and you'll be working on live roles across the retail construction and fit-out sector from day one.

What you'll be doing

• Learning the full recruitment process, from taking a job brief through to placing a candidate
• Sourcing and screening candidates for live retail construction roles
• Building relationships with candidates and clients across the sector
• Managing your own desk as you progress, with support from experienced consultants
• Hitting activity and performance targets as you build toward billing

What we're looking for

• Strong communication skills and a confident phone manner
• Resilience and a genuine drive to succeed in a sales-driven environment
• Someone organised, who can manage your own workload
• No recruitment experience required; full training provided
• Previous sales, customer service, or target-driven experience is a plus, but not essential
