About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the market leaders in education recruitment in the Nottingham area, recruiting high-quality teaching and support staff for short, long-term placements and permanent roles. We have a new office, a growing team, clear progression, the chance to earn an uncapped amount of commission, and a team-oriented company; there has never been a better time to join Vision for Education. No prior experience in recruitment or education is required - you will be supported in your first year of recruitment with our industry-leading induction programme and experienced colleagues. There is no one ‘Vision for Education’ consultant - we are all different, but all united by our drive to be the best, and our strong work and team culture.

The role

Vision for Education can offer an unrivalled service to both schools and teachers. You will provide a vital link between clients and candidates.

The role is demanding and diverse and involves:

  1. Working with a large client base - many of the schools nationally work exclusively with Vision for Education.
  2. Using sales, business development and marketing techniques and networking opportunities to attract business from client schools.
  3. Visiting clients to build and develop close working relationships.
  4. Developing a good understanding of client schools; what they do and their culture and environment.
  5. Using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates, employers, and the teaching community.
  6. Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work.
  7. Using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy.
  8. Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews, and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client.
  9. Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client.
  10. Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary, and benefits of the job.
  11. Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
  12. Organising interviews for candidates as requested by the client.
  13. Informing candidates about the results of their interviews.
  14. Using our Salesforce system to manage bookings.
  15. Coordinating sponsorship activities for client schools.
Requirements

To be considered for the role of Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will:

  1. Possess excellent communication and sales skills.
  2. Have the ability to grow their desk from the start.
  3. Exhibit excellent time management and organisational skills.
  4. Demonstrate an ability to organise their own workload and meet deadlines.
  5. Be self-motivated and resilient.
  6. Have the ability to act on their own initiative.
  7. Possess a professional and ethical approach to business.
  8. Be able to forge and maintain relationships over the telephone and face-to-face.
  9. Possess a desire to exceed the highest levels of customer service.
