Job summary

Turning Point in Wakefield is seeking a Trainee Recovery Worker to support people with substance use problems. You’ll provide direct support and advice to help service users achieve their potential and make this role your own within a supportive team.

The role includes blended learning in the first six months, with opportunities for qualifications or internal learning, and a focus on delivering day-to-day activities and harm reduction interventions in collaboration with treatment partners.

Qualifications

• Good IT and communication skills.
• Flexible, willing to learn, patient, and able to view situations from a service user's perspective.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advice to service users to help them achieve their potential.
• One-to-one key work, harm reduction advice/interventions, and coordination with treatment providers.
