Job description

Job Details: Trainee Recovery Coordinator

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people from accessing the support they need to live a valued life. We address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.

We operate nearly 200 services across England with almost 3,500 staff and volunteers, supporting around 125,000 people annually.

As we integrate our systems and processes following the merger, some roles may still be branded under 'Humankind'. We appreciate your patience during this transition.

Position: Trainee Recovery Coordinator (Fixed Term 12 Months)

Location: Unity Building, Bradford, BD1 3DN

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9:15am-5:15pm, with one late night per week (either Tuesday 12pm-8pm or Thursday 1pm-9pm).

Under the umbrella of New Vision Bradford, a partnership between Waythrough, the Bridge Project, Project 6, and Creative Strength, this role supports an adult substance misuse service. The service provides a safe environment for clients to develop life skills and rebuild their lives, aiming for active community participation.

We seek a full-time Trainee Recovery Coordinator for a 12-month fixed term. The role involves working as part of a team to learn and develop skills in collaborative recovery planning and case management for individuals with substance misuse issues, from assessment to sustained recovery.

About you

To be considered, you should have:

  • Experience working with individuals with alcohol and/or drug problems or those with complex needs.
  • A Level 3 Adult Care Worker qualification or willingness to work towards it via an Apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing a caseload (desirable but not essential).
  • A driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
