Job summary

Amentum invites applications for a structured development role in Quantity Surveying. You’ll blend practical surveying with formal training and work on cost management, procurement and contract administration across live projects.

You’ll have the opportunity to study towards or continue a Quantity Surveying degree while building professional expertise, with support from seasoned professionals and a clear pathway to professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in Quantity Surveying, commercial management or construction.
• Good numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Willingness to study towards (or continue) a Quantity Surveying degree alongside the role.
• Flexibility to travel to project locations as required.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and seek guidance when required.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial and quantity surveying activities across live projects.
• Assist with cost management, forecasting, payments and contract administration.
• Help manage contract changes, Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
• Support procurement, tendering and bid activities.
• Maintain commercial records, reports and project documentation.
• Develop knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial processes.
• Work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers while building your professional expertise.
