Salary: Competitive, DOE

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours

We are now recruiting for a Trainee Quality Inspector to join our quality team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their career or looking to transition into quality inspection within a precision engineering environment.

You will receive full training to learn how to measure and visually inspect components and assemblies using a variety of metrology equipment.

You will also gain hands-on experience inspecting welds, validating components, and learning how to spot and record defects and features that don't meet specification.

As Our Trainee Quality Inspector, You'll Learn To

  • Support the non-conformance process and take part in corrective actions.
  • Visually inspect finished goods to ensure they meet customer expectations.
  • Help maintain the quality standards VACGEN is known for worldwide.
  • Collaborate with different teams to improve product quality from the ground up.
  • Update KPI's and metrics to drive continuous quality improvement.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a genuine interest in engineering, quality, or manufacturing.
  • Is keen to learn how to use measuring tools and understand technical drawings.
  • Has great attention to detail and enjoys problem-solving.
  • Is reliable, organised, and eager to develop a long-term career in quality.

It Would Be Great If You Also Had

  • A relevant qualification (or working towards one) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a similar discipline.
  • An understanding of quality standards like ISO 9001 (but this is not essential - we'll train you!).
  • Any hands-on experience from education, hobbies, work experience, or previous roles.
